Bolivarian Revolution-what is it?

general

Battalia San Patricio Bolivarian Circle, a new organization emerging within the I.E., will be part of a growing international support group for the Bolivarian Revolution, a movement which began in Venezuela and is now spreading through Latin America with the election of leaders in country after country who(to greater or lesser extent) as we are seeing so far, are representing the wishes and needs of the people, rather than of U.S. neo-colonial/neoliberal hegemony("New World Order", "globalization" or whatever else it may be called).

It began with the democratic election of Hugo Chavez in Venezuela, and the following article linked from VHeadline.com best explains what the Bolivarian Revolution means and what Mr. Chavez is doing for the people of Venezuela:

On St. Patrick's Day(Dia de San Patricio)-

Battalia San Patricio Bolivarian Circle was officially launched. Due to time and other constraints, no event was planned. Flyers were passed out containing general information about International Bolivarian Circles(as posted above). A major goal of the international Bolivarian Revolution is democratisation of the global economy through a network of democratically owned and operated co-ops as they are being developed in Venezuela:

Join May 20th rally in L.A.-"U.S. Hands Off Venezuela and Cuba!"

A coalition of S.Cal. organizations and activists are sponsoring a march and rally at the downtown Federal Building in Los Angeles to demand the Bush regime to keep its filthy paws off Cuba and Venezuela. I will be there to announce the formation of Battalia San Patricio Bolivarian Circle in addition to joining my voice for the U.S. to stay out of Venezuela and Cuba(and, may I add, Haiti) and mind their own business!

I hope all other members of Axis of Justice, Food Not Bombs and other progressives will be there to "represent the I.E."-See you there!
