Submitted by amazz001 on Sun, 2007-03-25 06:34. generalHello, I am relatively new to this site, and am still trying to find my way around. Some of the e-mail addresses seem to be out-of-service, so to speak. I was wondering if there were any upcomming events that I could volunteer for in Riverside. Thanks

It is now the San Patricio Bolivarian and Zapatista Circle(Circulo Bolivarianismo/Zapatismo Battalia San Patricio), a part of a growing international support network for Venezuela's Constitutional Democracy, the Zapatista Army of Liberation(EZLN) for Democracy in Mexico and Socialism for the 21st Century(as defined by the example currently being set in Venezuela). Party for Socialism and Liberation has formed
Submitted by Battalia San Pa... on Sun, 2006-11-12 19:20.This is a new party for the advancement of Socialism and Liberation(economic Democracy) in this time of prevalent and still encroaching global economic(and political) fascism. This "New World Order" of the U.S. ruling elite is showing signs of faltering and will soon collapse-we must prepare now(as Venezuela and other nations are doing) to replace it. There is yet hope in these dire times!
Have a look at their new website and see what you think:

Submitted by Battalia San Pa... on Fri, 2006-11-03 23:44.Worker owned and run co-ops are an example of economic democracy. This is a fundamental part of the Bolivarian Revolution in Venezuela which can also be practiced here.
Here is an example of a worker owned co-op in Oregon:

Help Save the South Central Farm Today!
Submitted by Activist Grrrl on Sun, 2006-05-07 18:37.As you read this, the future of the largest urban garden in the United States and the 300 plus families who tend to it is uncertain. But you can help change that. And you can do it today. This is not something distant that you cannot have an impact on. This is an amazing 14-acre garden that is just down the freeway from many of you reading this. With a mandate to raise $1 million toward the purchase of the farm within 30 days (and only 14 days to go!), the South Central Farmers need your help. All donations — large and small — are needed and appreciated.
Please send your tax-deductible donation to The Trust for Public Land 3250 Wilshire Blvd, Suite 2003 Los Angeles, CA 90010. Checks should be made payable to "The Trust for Public Land" and include "South Central Farm" in the memo line. You can also donate online. For info on how to do that and to learn more about the farm, check out the SCF website.
