New Springsteen Charity Album Features Tom Morello
On July 15, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will release "Magic Tour Highlights", a series of songs and videos recorded during the band's recent "Magic" tour. All tracks and videos will be sold via digital downloads and the iTunes store, will all proceeds going to the Danny Federici Melanoma Fund. And track 2, "The Ghost of Tom Joad" features our own Tom Morello!

Surprise Victory
For nearly a decade, the Coalition of Immokalee Workers has been fighting for justice for farmworkers in the tomato fields in Florida. In 2005, after a lengthy boycott campaign, the CIW convinced the Taco Bell corporation to pay fairer wages to the farmworkers. In 2007, the CIW negotiated a similar agreement with fast food giant McDonald's. But when the CIW turned their sights on Burger King, they faced much fiercer opposition.
We are pleased to report, however, that Burger King is now working together with the CIW, and has signed a deal to increase wages for farmworkers, and has committed to drafting an industry-wide code of conduct for farmworkers in general. Congratulations to the CIW, the Student Farmworker Alliance, the Alliance for Fair Food, and everyone who participated in this great victory.
