The Nightwatchman's "Justice Tour"
Tour Updates:
On April 15, Tom Morello/The Nightwatchman will launch the two week,
seven city Justice Tour. Each tour stop will feature a day of action,
focusing on local political issues, and a day of music, performed by the
Nightwatchman and some of his many famous friends.
Each date will include a day of activism alongside partner organizations
and an evening of music with Morello alongside a variety of special
guests including Slash, Perry Farrell, Sen Dog, Davey Havok of AFI,
Boots Riley, Shooter Jennings, MC5 founder Wayne Kramer, Maynard James
Keenan of Tool and Puscifer and others.
Each stop of the Justice Tour will include a day of activism to focus on
a sphere of social justice in America: homelessness (Los Angeles), safe,
secure and affordable housing (New Orleans), a living wage (Asheville),
peace and veterans care (Washington, DC), affordable healthcare (Boston)
and labor organizing (Chicago). In addition, Amnesty International's TearItDown.org Campaign to Close Guantánamo, Project Noise and Morello's
own Axis Of Justice have joined as partner organizations throughout the
tour. The itinerary also includes a previously announced show April 17
at New York's Nokia Theater to benefit Road Recovery, a nonprofit that
helps young people forge a future free from addiction and other adversities.
Tickets are $10 for all shows except the April 17 Road Recovery benefit
in New York. Proceeds from each show benefit the local social justice
partner. Tickets for most shows are on sale now at Ticketmaster outlets,
ticketmaster.com, and local venue box offices. Tickets for the Berklee
Performance Center in Boston go on sale April 12. Check local listings.

community within the neighborhoods of New Orleans by helping the city's
tradition bearers access resources and secure stable, affordable housing.
"Sweet Home New Orleans is honored to participate in the Justice Tour,"
said Jordan Hirsch, Sweet Home New Orleans' Executive Director. "We
provide direct services to New Orleans' music community so that our
artists can be agents of the city's renewal, and we're excited to work
with a group of nationally-recognized activists who appreciate the vital
link between music and social justice."
Amnesty International, the Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights

"Just Economics' work in Asheville around the living wage issue is
rooted in the belief that all people have a right to dignified work and
should be paid a fair wage that allows them to support themselves and
their families," said Sarah Osmer, coordinator of Just Economics. "We
hope that the people of Asheville will follow Tom Morello's lead in
joining Just Economics to fight for a living wage in our community."

because the people of Massachusetts are enduring great trauma as the
state's private health insurance mandates are failing," said Donna
Smith, healthcare activist and a subject of Michael Moore's documentary,
